Senior Java Developer

We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join a growing technology team working on digital banking solutions and business-critical applications.

The role is focused on designing and developing scalable Java-based applications, working closely with technical and business teams in an Agile environment.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain Java backend applications based on business and technical requirements.
  
• Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing and Agile ceremonies.
  
• Design and develop applications following principles for high-volume, low-latency and highly available systems.
  
• Work with RESTful and SOAP web services and enterprise integration patterns.
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and technical solutions.
  
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps activities.
  
• Support live applications and provide L3 support when required.
  
• Create and maintain technical design documentation.
  
• Collaborate with other developers and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions.
  

Requirements

• 3–5 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years of strong experience with Java.
  
• Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, Spring MVC and Hibernate.
  
• Strong understanding of RESTful web services, SQL, JSON and OOP.
  
• Good knowledge of Java 8/17.
  
• Experience developing and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services.
  
• Good understanding of Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
  
• Experience with Java Design Patterns such as MVC, DAO, Singleton, Factory and Builder.
  
• Experience with Spring Data JDBC or equivalent technologies.
  
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle or Apache Cassandra.
  
• Experience with JUnit and Mockito for unit and integration testing.
  
• Familiarity with Microservices Architecture and enterprise integration patterns.
  
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
  
• Familiarity with Linux environments.
  
• Familiarity with Docker/OpenShift environments.
  
• Good understanding of CI/CD tools and practices.
